Membership

Scholars apply to become participants in CSTWeb and once admitted

• can post their own papers and read the comments of others
• can download and respond to the papers of others.

CSTWeb is designed for scholars coming to the issues of ethics and economics through the lens of Catholic social thought. This includes those whose background lies primarily in theology or philosophy as well as those rooted in the discipline of economics or other relevant social sciences.

To become a member, a scholar simply fills out an online form providing some contact information as well as educational background. A terminal degree in one's field (typically a doctoral degree) is required to become a participant. Students in the final stages of doctoral work can also become participants if they are endorsed by one of the professors.

To apply for membership, please fill out the form below. Please remember that your CSTWeb.org membership will not active until approved by the CSTWeb “Gatekeeper”, who will inform you by email of the approval. Please allow up to two weeks for this process.

Relevant degree(s) indicating discipline, university where earned, and date of conferral. A single doctoral level degree in a relevant discipline is sufficient for membership in CSTWeb.

If you are a graduate student, please specify your discipline, degree program, estimated time until completion of degree, and a name of professor who will provide reference. Ask your professor to send a brief email to gatekeeper@CSTWeb.org indicating either that you are “ABD” (all but dissertation) or, in university systems that don’t use the ABD system, that you are in the last stages of your doctoral program.
